Since Hillar Moore founded BRAVE in 2012, murder rates have gone down significantly.
BRAVE is an organization that helps juveniles between the ages of 13-21 to encourage them to eliminate violence in the Baton Rouge area. When he started hi organization, he got a lot of criticism because the organization is is thought of helping criminals that should be locked up in jail. Later, as the organization began to improve, the criticism is dying down and it has gained a lot of respect from others.
This program has benefited many lives here in Baton Rouge and has turned them into the good people that they are today.
The other organization that Moore is involved in is the Strategy Crime Unit. This unit use crime data to identify crime patterns in a specific area and then they find ways to improve the area.
Moore has always believed in the stuff he does because he believes in second chances. He believes in second chances because his dad gave him a second chance after his life began to take a turn for the worst.
Hillar Moore has been the district attorney for Louisiana for two terms now. He is involved in many organizations that have changes people's lives and his life too.
He has always wanted to persue a career in law because it interested him widely and it didn't involve math. When he graduated from college he went straight into different jobs involving law. He is the youngest in the country to pursue this occupation at the age of 20.
Moore loves his job because he sinply loves just helping people. The next reelection is in four years and he hope to get reinstated into the District Attorney's office for many years to come.
